Who – are Gravity Co?
Gravity Co is one of the UK’s fastest growing coliving brands. Providing flexible, hassle-free, all-inclusive living experiences with a strong focus on community and wellness, Gravity Co has revolutionised renting for young professionals. Having opened its first location in London’s Finsbury Park in 2019, Gravity Co now offers over 200 rooms, studios and apartments across five UK locations. They experienced rapid growth during lockdowns and tripled in size. As a result of their community-centric values, Gravity Co plan to grow internationally from 2023, and have successfully raised over £5 million in funding. Gravity Co was named ‘Coliving Operator of the Year’ at the 2022 Coliving Awards.
Why – did they hire res:harmonics?
Gravity Co appreciated the benefits of technology from the outset. They initially used a range of tech integrations, including a basic property management system (PMS), that allowed members to sign contracts and pay deposits.
However, with a large increase in demand and the opening of new locations, Gravity Co sought
new easy-to-use tools to support team collaboration, project management and the day-to-day running of the business. As a growing coliving business, Gravity Co wanted to integrate technology solutions that improved guest experience and maintained high customer satisfaction.
In particular, Gravity Co wanted to bring all its existing tech capabilities under one roof, allowing for more integration and flexibility, and work with an agile company that was willing to create custom additions to the software.
What – did res:harmonics do?
res:harmonics developed its all-in-one PMS to support each of Gravity Co’s various departments, including operations, finance and sales. With its friendly user interface and simple functionality, res:harmonics coliving software has been easy for non-technical staff to learn and use effectively to complete daily tasks.
res:harmonics worked closely with Gravity Co to create bespoke tools to support sales and marketing efforts and further enhance its website. res:harmonics built a custom booking platform on the Gravity Co website so that users can browse its room, studio and apartment options, and register their interest. The booking engine was built in line with Gravity Co’s brand guidelines and optimised for tablet and mobile devices to provide a great user experience.
How – did res:harmonics make a difference?
Despite rapid growth, Gravity Co decided to switch technology partners to res:harmonics to reduce (rather than add) complication and make expansion easier.
res:harmonics integrated a unified platform that enhanced human connection and streamlined management. Aligned on the direction of coliving, the res:harmonics team created bespoke additions that help Gravity Co adapt to the unique challenges of managing a coliving business across many property types.
res:harmonics PMS helped Gravity Co with their day-to-day activities, particularly the operations department, where automated housekeeping and remote maintenance management features made it easier for the team to effectively manage five separate coliving locations.
What’s more, automated activities and emails have saved the team time to focus on other areas of the business that bring more value, such as community-building and wellness programmes.
